Landowners in England can generate Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units —not “credits”—by creating or enhancing natural habitats on their land and selling these units to property developers who need to meet mandatory BNG requirements.

This offers a new, long-term income stream, typically secured through a legal agreement for a minimum of 30 years.

We can undertake all the activities to assess the suitability of the site, develop a plan, secure the units legally, register the site and then sell the Units.

BNG units are required for different habitats such as grassland, native hedgerow, watercourse and mixed woodland. The value of BGN units varies by the habitat type.
